Isak Jarrin

Hardware & Systems Engineer

As a multidisciplinary engineer, my expertise spans mechanical design, mechatronics, and embedded systems. From precision CAD modeling and additive manufacturing to configuring bare-metal Linux environments, I build robust, highly efficient machines. To demonstrate this philosophy, I engineered a salvaged 9x4cm microserver, "Project Demise", which successfully hosted this entire portfolio 24/7 from my office wall for over two years.

CURRENT STATUS: Engineering Intern at SCAILAB AB. Open to engineering roles and collaborative projects.

About Me

I am a multidisciplinary engineer bridging the gap between strategic business management and technical hardware execution. Currently pursuing my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at University West, I leverage a prior B.S. in International Business Management to approach complex problems with a unique dual perspective: balancing high-level project optimization with deep, hands-on technical development.

Engineering Philosophy

My approach is rooted in extreme efficiency and hardware optimization. I believe the most robust systems are those stripped of unnecessary bloat, where every component, from the thermal interface to the deployment script, is engineered for a specific purpose.

I thrive at the intersection of mechanical design, electronic prototyping, and systems administration. I advocate for a "full-lifecycle" engineering mindset: the ability to build the physical enclosure, solder the logic board, and configure the bare-metal Linux environment that runs it all.

Featured Projects

Project Demise

ARCHIVED SYSTEM

Designed and fabricated a custom passive/active cooling system for a Lenovo Compute Stick 300. Stripped of its original casing, it was re-engineered with a custom 9x4cm thermal array to prevent throttling. Converted into a headless Debian microserver routing traffic securely via Cloudflare Tunnels, which hosted this exact portfolio for over two years before being archived.
